Constantinos Miltiadis is a transdisciplinary architect, programmer, and design researcher working at the intersection of architecture, computation, and immersive technologies. His work explores new aesthetic and experiential forms of virtual environments, spanning experimental game design, VR, spatiotemporal design, and the aural dimensions of spatial experience. Across scientific research, design consulting, UX, R&D, and creative-technology prototyping, his practice treats interaction and code as architectural material.
He is currently a design researcher at Aalto University, School of Arts, Design & Architecture, part of the Experience Design project funded by the Research Council of Finland, and is completing a Doctor of Arts degree. His dissertation, titled SpaceTimeCraft, is expected in 2026.
Previously, he was assistant professor at the Institute of Architecture and Media, TU Graz (2015-2019), a research assistant at ETH Zurich (2014-2015), and a digital design consultant (2012-2015). He holds a Diploma in Architectural Engineering from NTU-Athens (2012), and a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Information from the Chair for CAAD/Digital Architectonics, ETH Zurich (2014). Between 2018 and 2019 he also studied computer music and spatial audio at the Institute of Electronic Music, Kunstuniversität Graz.
His research has been presented in international conferences and seminars, and published across architectural, artistic, and videogame research. His design work has won competition awards, and was featured in international media. Constantinos has developed and taught several original courses on creative programming, experimental game design, and VR development in academic and extra-academic settings. He is also active through transdisciplinary collaborations, curatorial works, production of discursive and artistic events, exhibitions, and installations.
Outside of work, Constantinos is an avid home cook, guitarist, and grappling enthusiast.
