omniverse xSynth is a digital instrument written in ChucK programming language, as a digital modular synthesizer. To gain the tactile sensibility of an analogue synthesizer, the Novation SL MKII and Novation LaunchPad were used as an interface.
The xSynth was developed during a sound programming workshop CAAD ETHz thought by sound artist Johannes Sistermans, Nikola Marinčić and Jorge Orozco, and took part in the Probabilistic Orchestra, a laptop orchestra of digital or electronic instruments at the Honggerberg ETHz campus.
